TRUST & COMPLIANCE
Last Updated: Aust 28, 2026
At Retirement Care Plans, trust isn't just something we talk about — it's built into how we operate. This page outlines our licensing, professional standards, and commitment to transparency, so you know exactly who you're working with.
Licensing
Retirement Care Plans and its team members hold active insurance producer licenses issued by the Maryland Insurance Administration, required to provide the financial and insurance services offered on this website, including life insurance, annuities, and Medicare supplement products.
You can independently verify any of our agents' license status directly through the Maryland Insurance Administration's Producer (Agent/Broker) Search tool, or through the NAIC State Based Systems (SBS) Licensee Look-up Tool.
Individual license numbers are available upon request.
Professional Designations
Our founder, Lew Baker, holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation, awarded by the CFP Board and subject to its Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct. CFP® professionals are required to act in the client's best interest when providing financial planning services.
How We're Compensated
Transparency about compensation matters. Depending on the service or product involved, we may be compensated through:
Commissions paid by insurance carriers when a policy is purchased through us
Fees for financial planning services, where applicable
We will always disclose how we are compensated for a specific product or service before you make a decision. If you have questions about compensation at any point, ask — we'll answer directly.
Our Commitment to You
We explain before we recommend. You will never be asked to sign or purchase something you don't fully understand.
We disclose conflicts of interest. If a recommendation involves compensation to us, we'll tell you upfront.
We don't use high-pressure sales tactics. You're welcome to take time, ask questions, or consult another professional before deciding anything.
We protect your information. See our [Privacy Policy] for details on how your data is handled and secured.
